Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer and for many of us, a summer road trip can’t be far behind. If you’re planning a long road trip, or just heading to the local beach, these driving trips can help make your summer plans run more smoothly.

Last January, Garrett Gunter and his two sons decided to take a road trip to visit Garrett’s father. The trip would take them to some remote areas of Nebraska, so Garrett decided to renew his OnStar subscription before they left.

“I sat on hold while my car was shaking from the roaring traffic whizzing by. I happened to notice my OnStar button and thought what the heck?”

“My transmission broke down as I was on the road home.”
