“Last month, I was driving home with my two daughters (5 and 7 yrs) old on a paved, but poor maintained road in my 2003 Chevy Impala. Of course a deer came to the roadside just as a patch of ice came under my tires. We didn’t hit the deer, but did do some skidding, all of us were shook up a little (but I couldn’t let my lil ones know I, too was shaken) We were driving around 45 mph, and less than 6 miles from our house.

We ended back on the road completely fine. During that whole time when I didn’t feel I had complete control of my Impala, I couldn’t help but remind myself, I have no OnStar, and my cell phone just fell off the console from it’s holder. That’s a very scary thought, especially with the young eyes staring back at me in the review mirror.

Well, I’m buying a NEW Chevy Impala in 3 weeks, and guess what? It has OnStar! Now, I can drive with the piece of mine that I need being a single mom of two precious members of my family.”
