“I placed several bags of items to be recycled in my car and drove to the depository for these items. I was able to pull up adjacent to the container and quickly got out of the car to deposit these items. As I exited the car, my small dog, who makes these trips with me, ran to the window to see where I was going. In the process he jumped on the door lock button.Unfortunately my keys were in the car, but fortunately, I have OnStar who quickly unlocked the doors. Thanks OnStar”

“In March of 2010, I slid on an icy road and badly damaged my 10 year old Blazer. I was on a dark, lonely, deserted road in the backwoods of Connecticut in a snow storm. There was no cell phone service, no traffic, nothing!! I limped to a friend’s house 6 miles away with my fender gouging out my tire. All the way to safety, I kept saying, “My next car is having OnStar no matter what!!” I never felt so alone or scared as on that road. Now I have OnStar in my HHR and I know I’ll never have that feeling again. Thanks Chevy!!!!”

“My husband and I were sitting in our living room when we heard a noise from outside the house. It sounded like someone had driven by and a ladder had fallen from their vechile. My husband went to the door to find a car had rang into our vechile parked in the driveway and sent it airborne about 25ft. From the appearance of the Pontiac G6 that hit our car someone hard to be really hurt or worse. When my husband got tot he Pontiac OnStar was already on the phone talking to him and was calling emergency services before I could from the house. The lady driving was lucky and came thru the accident with only a broken knee, but it totaled our Trailblazer. I did not have on-star on my first Trailblazer, but I have it and will always have it on my vechiles. Thank you for being there.”

“In late January, 2010, while en route to visit family in Florida my husband experienced dizziness, nausea and heavy sweating while in the passenger seat. I was driving and pulled off Interstate 95 in an exit south of Manning, S.C. Â Afraid he may be dealing with a heart attack, I pressed the “OnStar” emergency button and received prompt response from an advisor. Â She contacted a local hospital/ambulance and stayed with me on the phone until they arrived about 12 minutes later.

My husband was placed in the ambulance and I followed to the hospital.  He spent about 4 hours in the emergency room being tested and was then released with a diagnosis of Vertigo (inner ear infection).  I was so thankful we had “OnStar” activated in our vehicle.  It certainly put my mind at ease knowing that we were being helped with a service that knew exactly what to do. Aside from being upset with our situation, I was relieved that our location could be pinpointed and that safe help would be there  to assist.  In telling our story to others, I was certain to include my gratitude for having “OnStar”. I would not want a vehicle without it!!!”

“On May 24th. 2010 at around 6-6:30 p.m my sister and I were returning home from picking up some food, we came upon a intersection and we had a green light and went thru, a vehicle ran a red light and T-boned us in the passenger side and flipped us over on the drivers side (I was the driver). Once the vehicle came to a full stop ONSTAR was there, it was hectic but I did manage to tell the operator we needed help, the operator told us exactly where we were and that help was on the way and in no time at all we heard sirens. My sister was taken out through the windshield but I was trapped under the steering wheel and couldn’t be removed the same way so they had to cut the vehicle away to be able to get me out. we both were transported by ambulance to our local hospital to be treated for our injuries but later released. Thank you ONSTAR and I won’t ever own a vehicle that doesn’t have ONSTAR”

“Last October after dinner with friends, my wife and I were headed home on a parkway in Ky. It was about 8:00p.m.. We had only been out of town a couple of miles traveling at 70 MPH when a large buck deer appeared in the corner of my eye in the headlights. I had no time to react to slow down and I hit the deer dead center of my 2006 Cadillac DTS. Fortunately for us, the airbags did not deploy and I was able to steer the car safely off to the shoulder of the road. I was in an isolated area of Ky and had no cell phone service, however I did have OnStar. I pushed the blue button and immediately had an adviser on the line who made sure there were no injuries to us. Unfortunately my Caddy didn’t fair as well. As I said previously, stranded in the middle of nowhere, the OnStar advisor called the State Police for me and also called for a wrecker to come and tow the car for me to the nearest dealer, 40 miles away, all at no additional charge. There was an hour wait for the wrecker to arrive and OnStar kept me advised several times as to the status of their arrival. OnStar was greatly appreciated that night.”

“What a beautiful day it was to go to a MLB Baseball game. 70 degrees outside, sunshining, all I needed was gas. However, little did I know that if it wasn’t for Onstar, I would not have enjoyed the Rockies vs. Nationals. I had to stop for gas on my way up to Denver, as usual, I was in a hurry, being an ER RN, that is a normal pace for me, fast. Fast can get the best of you when you realize that you locked your keys and phone in your vehicle!!! What was I going to do, I had no close family in Pueblo, then I gazed at the window and star the stickable Onstar sticker, Thank gosh I placed that sticker while setting up my account with Onstar. I was able to give Onstar a brief call and my doors unlocked! Onstar saved the day. Recently we recognized fellow nurses at the hospital I worked at for being everyday heros. Onstar is an everyday hero. Onstar saves lives by alerting EMS when a crash has occured, stops stolen vehicles, assists lost individuals and last but not least, unlocks doors! Thank you Onstar.”
