“On Dec 12, 2008 our 3 wk old son was having trouble breathing due to complications from RSV. During the ride to the dr’s office he turned blue and stopped breathing. The road I was driving had no cell signal. I pushed the onstar emergency button and the operator became a life saver.
Not only did he coordinate 911 for 2 counties(we crossed a county line), set an ambulance meet point up for us at a fire dept and talked my husband through rescue breathing. The signal was slightly choppy in spots but without Onstar I never would have had the immediate help. My phone never would have worked. We were able to get our son to emergency responders in time and transport him to the hospital. Our son is now an energetic 15 month old and I am forever grateful to Onstar and all their help! I will always own a vehicle with your service.”
