Emergency Services: Poisoned Pooch’s Owner Panics

Beverly Hartley’s 9-month-old Yorkshire terrier, Fidelis, was accidentally poisoned when, unbeknownst to Beverly, the gardener put down some poisonous snail pellets and little Fidelis — who barely weighs five pounds — found one and tasted it.
Beverly had just come inside with Fidelis when the puppy started walking oddly and tripping on her own paws. Then Fidelis collapsed.
Beverly was frantic. Her husband quickly called the vet as Beverly picked up Fidelis and ran to the car.
“The vet is only five blocks away and I had been there before, but suddenly I just couldn’t find the office for anything. I was borderline hysterical when I hit the OnStar button and asked for help. But the Advisor was just so calm and nice. I can’t tell you how much that helped. She calmed me down and within seconds had me going in the right direction. Turns out, I had passed the office and then made a wrong turn. She stayed with me until I arrived at the vet’s office. Thankfully Fidelis made a complete recovery.
“I don’t know what I’d have done without the Advisor’s help. I will never have a car without OnStar, ever. My whole family — my grandmother, my mom, my sister — we all have OnStar and we all love it.”
