    I haven’t had OnStar since they discontinued the analog version and left us all high and dry. However, the day before yesterday, the word “call ” appeared on the screen and a vocal commercial came on the radio from OnStar. I can not remove it even with all the remedies suggested by OnStar of pushing the white buttons, turning off the engine, etc. It prevents the radio from working. I went to my car dealer who wants to remove the radio to get a serial number off the back of it. This will give him a code number or something so he can solve the problem. He expects to be paid for this effort. I don’t think it’s my expense since I have not had OnStar for several years due to OnStar canceling the analog version with no replacement. I believe OnStar should solve the problem at their expense so I can use my radio!! Please reply.

    Hi Paul – We really regret that we are unable to provide OnStar service to vehicles with analog equipment. This change occurred in December 07’ to comply with updated Federal Communications Commission requirements. We do want to better understand your specific concern. We’ll email you to get more detail.
